Cool dad indeed!
If I had a dad like that I'd see he had a P-64 in his nightstand.
My dad had 5 sons and many guns....but never gave me a one.
I do still have a few I bought from him though.
Enjoy your new guns and your dad while you can. Better yet, take your dad shooting.

Thanks Donnerwetter58 ! Unfortunately my Dad is almost blind now from diabetes and pretty crippled , But ,I do enjoy my time hanging out with him. He is a very intelligent man with a plethora of knowledge and I never get tired of his stories. We are going to make a trip down home to Aurora,MO in a week or so and he is gonna show me a bunch of his old stomping grounds. I am thrilled and can hardly wait to see some of the cool places he did stuff at. He used to pheasant hunt alot when I was young but he got pneumonia after each trip and would end up in the hospital for long periods afterwards so Mom and He decided No More. I know he was a good shot tho, because we had pheasant every year for dinner when he came home. heehee
5 boys? He must be one tough Man !! It wasn't easy to raise kids back then at all. G

Enjoy him and your mom as much as possible as already said, while they are still around.

I miss the conversations with my grandfather (born in Italy in 1896) and his take on everything new and modern. I'm unsure how old you are but if that winter beard picture is fairly recent then you're alot younger than me. My parents saw the change from horse drawn wagons delivering milk, meat, bread and ice to supersonic travel. And they know the family history, get all the stories because once they are gone so is the story of your heretage. I lost my dad in 1975 and my mom this spring...I really miss them both so enjoy everymoment and you will also be setting the example to your children...you're gonna get old too someday and may need them to wipe the drool... :P

Hey Carguy, I'm a 43yr old trapped in a 75yr old's body ! Bald, fat, bent back, sore hips, a prostate gland the size of a grapefruit, bad teeth, forced retirement, no pension, second-hand, used up, has-been.
I know i am getting old because now i can fart WHILE i pee instead of AFTER.

That picture above is older. That little girl is in her graduate year in Hamilton College in NY! (she is my Youngest of 4 girls) I am having trouble finding a picture cd with my "bestest beard yet", it was about 2yrs ago, I had one even Redfestiva would be proud of !! G

Okay so I'm a little older than you in actual years...I hope I'm a little younger than you physically. The grapefruit sized prostate is no where to be found and I haven't farted while peeing...yet. My youngest is 20 and in his second year of college.

I hope there is a good prognosis in the future and in the mean time...we'll try to keep you smiling (poop)... :P
