I just finished a complete disassembly, cleaning, deburring, polishing of all contact parts and reassembly of my P-64. I spent part of yesterday and today with an old friend who is a well qualified gunsmith. All went well except for reinstalling the trigger. Couldn't figure out how the damned trigger return spring went in! That's what caused the spillover to today. Finally reinstalled it with a slave pin in place and then drove it out with the trigger pin.
The action is a whole lot smoother than it was. It is still not 'slicker than owl sh*t' like I was hoping for, but my friend says it will also shoot itself in and will probably smooth out even more as time goes on.
Needless to say, he was very impressed by the cost and overall fit and finish of the pistol. My next stop will be the range. I'll let you all know how it shoots!

Great news Manwithagun! One of the first things i noticed after i got my P-64 ,was the good metal work and fit/finish ! I don't care for plastic much. These are made with the "real"stuff. METAL. GOOD METAL. These will have a secondary use after their shooting life ends==A Hammer !
Solid little guns. It is sad that they can't be re-chambered for the 9mm luger too ! They could probably handle it, they are so tough! ( i know, the bullets are different size.) That would be a neat-er gun yet ! IMO
Don't get me wrong tho- I Love my CZAK !

He y, I found out something odd. I was having trouble with a weak trigger guard spring. I had my punch in and noticed that my trigger guard was stiffer. I found a pin amongst all my junk cut it to size blued it and put it in. It definitely stiffened up the trigger guard. If anyone can explain this to me, please do. I don't see where it could cause any damage to the gun and it was a good fix. I know this doesn't apply to this thread but I thought I would put it in while I was thinking about it. Thanks
