Papabear's Newest Toy

Post by papabear »

They say the difference between men and boys is the price of their toy's, well ever since I got to shoot my cousin's BHP a couple months ago that was visiting here, I have wanted one. This week I went to my local dealer and waiting for me was a beautiful 1993 BHP. I had just sold a couple handguns to a local collector and had some money burning a hole in my pocket and the rest is history. Haven't had a chance to shoot it yet due the the heat here, last three day its been 102, but as soon I get a chance to get out I'll let my new toy bang away.

That is a Nice Looking Pistol ! Who has the Star pistol that looks like a mini 1911 kinda? I looked at one today and I really liked it alot ! I'd like to hear more about it. I think it was a .32 cal. ? Anyways , I thought maybe it was you(Papabear) ?
Also, is that BHP a 9mm? or 45? Thanks, G

I think a lot of us have and love the stars. but they pale against the 9mm bhp (only a bias opinion).. the star is a really fine gun especially for the price. Mine is bm it one fine 9mm weapon.Love taking it to the range.

The more I look at that picture the more I am mezmerized! Is that the standard blued finish? It is just gorgeous. It reminds me of a finish I saw on a 1903 Colt 32 auto that someone had at the club. They said it was some strange smoke fired something...basically not a normal blue so be extra careful or alot of expense to touch up or refinish.

Papabear that is just AWESOME...I can't stop starring at it.

Take care of that baby, I'd be afraid it would become a safe Queen at my house. :-* :-* :-* :-*

papabear,

That is SHARP! I wanted one of the "detective" HP's that Sarco sells. They aren't Browning, but look great and are "supposed" to be 100% interchangeable with original HP's. Guy at a local shop said that they had carried 4 or 5 of those "clones" from Sarco....and that they were FAR FROM being interchangeable. So, alas, I am HPless. Just don't have the mulah right now for a Browning....but man looking at that pic makes me cringe with desire!

Gary,

I do have one that I really like and enjoy but I have to agree with anjdrifter, it pales in comparison to the BHP. I'm pretty sure the Star BM that I have doesn't come in .32 acp, but I'm not sure of that, anymore I'm not sure of anything.......... :'(

Nice looking BHP papabear! I also had a Star in 9mm that I carried in the 70's, don't remember what happened to that one.
