What's your favorite RIFLE!?

Post by papabear »

carguy,

I was only being factitious about "Well Crap, here we go again", I just wasn't sure what type of rifle you were referring to, and its had as you know to have a favorite anything or it is for me.

I think abwehr put it best,

As many of us are shooters and collectors, it is very hard to come up with a "favorite" rifle. When I buy a MilSurp that I have never owned before, it becomes my favorite for a while until the "new" wears off and I am back to the Springfield or the K98k.

Didn't mean to blow up your post......... :'(

Wow, some of you guys have impressive collections! I figure I might as well post my modest contribution here as well. My favorite rifle is my only rifle (I like easy decisions :)). It is an Armscor M1600 22LR. It has two 17 round magazines. I bought it about 18 - 20 years ago sorta as a reminder of the M16 I trained with in the Army during the early 80's. It is a fun plinker rifle and great novelty replica. I understand at some point the magazine capacity on these was changed to 10 and the flash suppressor was eliminated so it would not fall under the "assault weapon" catagory.

RED that is AWESOME!

My son is trying to get me to pick up a 22LR plinker that "resembles" one of those nasty "Black" rifles.

Everyone has such sweet guns. I would like one of each (maybe four or five of each). I'm attempting to post my first message board pic, quite an accomplishment. This is my Swiss K-31. Ammo is somewhat scarce, although it seems to pop up now and then.

grayfox,

Nice M-N rig you got there, I'm still trying to figure out what I want to do with my 1924 Tula hex 91/30. By the way, is that a Tn, Ky or VA Raccoon?

anjdrifter,

That rifle is classified as a hunk hunk of burning love for me, can I be first on the list if you decided to get rid of it......... ;D

grayfox,

I have an MPA .45acp pistol and have the carbine conversion barrel with buttstock. Yours is one mean looking outfit for sure!

After buying the pistol, I checked out all the vendors of MAC stuff and finally decided on the MPA carbine conversion kit. Then I got the Grease Gun magazines with pouch, fake suppressor, scope for the conversion kit, and finally the vertical grip up front. I have yet to fire this nice looking outfit; can you believe that?

By the way, how accurate is your MPA, and the yards you normally shoot?

You have a great gun. The MPA is built like a tank & can handle any +p+ ammo without a hitch. I have only shot mine up to 50yds. I didn't want a tack driver (and they arn't), I wanted something fast & diff. Let us know when you shoot it, the weight makes it a pussycat. ;D
