I am having a similar problem.
Only difference is that if I wiggle the slide from side-to-side, the Disconnector will pop up and engage the trigger.
Do you guys think I should file the Disconnetor more?

I fixed my issue.
There was a small lip of metal formed by wear in the slide.
It was blocking the Disconnector from traveling all the way up into the slide, preventing the trigger from engaging.
30 seconds with a small file and my issue is fixed.

Glad to hear you've corrected the problem! How many rounds do you think you have through your pistol?

I just got it a couple weeks ago from SOG.
It is a 76 and I personally have put 100 rounds through it.
The bore is perfect and I don't see any other wear spots internally.
I hosed it down with Breakfree CLP when I got it, but it does need a more thorough disassembly and cleaning as it was very dirty/fouled when I got it.

Sat down with the P64 again about a week ago, filed the top of the disconnector a bit, and everything's great now. Working perfectly. ;D ;D ;DIf you are pointing the pistol away from you with the slide removed then look at the right side of the disconector. It can catch on the safety lever inside the slide. There is supposed to be a very slight angle where the sharp edge of the disconector is filed off at the factory. Some are not filed and work. I have one that wasn't filed and did what you are describing. I filed it to match another one and that fixed it. It took about 1 minute because it is a very small ammount of metal removed. And yes they could use a stronger spring for sure. TMG
