That's what you were talking about sunday night! DUH! Now I get it, the 83 mag has the indentation and the thin foorplate.

Yes, Norm I do have an 82 and an 83 mag. He said professorally, like he knew what he was talking about.

And I really have no complaint with Classic, it does look good, I'll touch up the blue on the trigger guard and be done with it.

The mag on the right I'm told is a CZ -83

The way I understand it is the mag your finger got stuck in while cleaning (the one with the indentation at the bottom/ 2 small openings instead of one big one for the mag spring to fit through) is the CZ-83 mag. It is also the one with the thin sheet metal footplate. The original issue, military CZ-82 has straight sides and the heavier, thick footplate.

I was searching the auctions for CZ-82 mags and could find only 83 mags that went from 10 round to 12 round for 32 or 380 cal.
I understand that they all fit the 82 and I'm assuming that we would use the 380 - 12 round mag.

Norm Sutton sent me a message referencing Makarov.com having them for sale at a good price and they describe them as cz-82/83 mags so I assume they must fit 9x18 ammo whatever they are.

Norm --- two shiny & sharp looking pistols, those wood grips
don't hurt their appearance either!
