This post is totally off topic, but I can't help but brag on my wife. Now I'm a 57 year old asthmatic who's asthma is both exercise and cold aggravated. My wife is a 40 something athlete who just finished her first marathon training. I have watched her spend the last four months in training and did eight miles with her today, which totally kicked my @ss, and sat on the side lines while she accomplished her goal in training for the Portland Marathon.
I can't tell you how proud I am of her and had to share her fifteen minutes of fame with the group............. G.R.

Good job making it the 8 miles. When I was in my mid 30's, too many years ago, I got into running some 8k's, 5 mi., and usually broke the 40 min. time by a few seconds. Now I'm about to hit 50 and just getting to full strength on the right knee I had some scope work on in Oct. Kids soccer practice has been giving me alittle more confidence each week, just being really careful on the pivots. Congrats bigtime to the wife, let her know we're all proud of her!!
Yep, even the 5 milers would leave me gasping for air, almost afraid of what they'd do to me now!
