some of might of seen this

making 577/450 out of 24 gag brass without a form die ( it can be done )

you need to anneal the brass just part way I like to use a deep well socket

Image

then drop in water

I like to this spay case lube ( I have used it for swaging jacketed bullets )

Image

back the die up until it still lock in but high enough so just grabs the case
Image
then tease it in and out till it looks like this

Image

teasing the case in and of the die ,turn the die down 1/2 a turn at a time until you get to the you get to the anneal spot on the case

Image

trim case & then re anneal

Image

re lube case and repeat teasing the case in and of the die ,turn the die down 1/2 a turn at a time until you bottom the die out

Image

I would prefer to use a from die and I have a friend drilling me out a lee sizing die

thanks to dougstump of gun boards for the idea drilling the size die out http://forums.gunboards.com/showthread.php?t=71773

but if you get in a hurry to make some , hope this helps

Norm,

As you know I only getting started in reloading, so this is really all about my head, but man that Martini Henry round is more like a howitzer round than a rife round.. :'( , do you need backup when you do shoot these, I'd be happy to come down and help any way I can..... :)
