In my area in Ohio there is a local range that has a "gun club" called the "pink pistols" this is (I'm told) a mens club.
Pink Pistols is kind of odd, but actually a pretty cool concept. Basically, they train gay men (though I'm not sure it's just limited to men anymore) to use pistols for self defense. Can't help but think that having such a traditionally liberal group of people "see the light" is such a bad thing.

I saw this on another forum. A guy had this Bersa refinished for his daughter. If I recall correctly it cost about as much to refinish it as the gun was worth. It is indeed different. Would'nt it be humiliating to a bad guy to get shot by a chick with a pink pistol? :)

The pink is a safety feature...someone breaks in to your house, and sees that, they won't exactly bother stealing the "pink plastic Barbie's First Gat", thinking it a toy. Even if they do...how long would it take to call the pawn shops around looking for a bright pink Bersa? :)

Think I'd take it a step further, and have the tip painted orange... :)

Wait a minute, I think I hurt myself...nope...I'm okay, just a muscle pull from laughing so hard and falling off my chair! :D

What a waste of a cool pistol... :'(

That's it though, the nominee for the logo of the Pink Pistol Club if Trent okays it...since it was his thread that started the pink firearms thing I believe. Maybe it's a southern thing...nah...maybe a college thing...nah...maybe Trent just likes Pink Guns...if you refinish that Gunbroker pick up in Pink I don't know what I'll do :'( yes I do I'll eat my new MAS! Please Trent stop the madness!!! :P

Exactly...how can anyone be afraid of that?! ???

I don't know if I can find the link but I saw a "My Little Kitty" AR te other day and similar silly stuff. Some people have way too much money and time on their hands.

Fun stuff and boy did this thread get mis-directed ! :'(

I'll ok that gun for the logo your pistol club carguy. Im glad my entry helped you find a suitable group to join :P

It's too bad I already bought the park solution, I'd really like to see someone eat a french rifle :D

p.s. my offer still stands, just tell me what colors you want to see on the p64 grip (of those TTH provided) and I'll edit one of the photos and post it so you can see if you like it before you send off.

I really like the swirl effect in the black and gray or black and white grips Papabear posted. Where the colors are incorporated and seem to fade into one another. These colors were obviously blended into the making of the grips. I don't really like the straight painted look of the ones Troy is working on. They look great but not my style. I'll stick with my original grips until I can steal that black & white set away from anjdrifter.... ::)

I will have some good photos of grips tomorrow of 3 variations of camo grips I have done. I will be able to do most colors. I think they look pretty good on the P-64 and the finish is tough and I can do many color variations. I have had all the equipment already and honestly redoing these grips makes them look factory new and modern.

Just to be upfront here with everyone.. I will be doing this for a limited time basis only. After doing several already it is honestly not worth my time in doing them I have discovered. Kinda labor intensive for the relatively small project it is. Anyway I just feel like doing something that some of you guys might like. If know one cares for them then it is really no big deal really. I mean that... It took me 4 hours for 3 grips and another hour for clean up. Anyway if you want some than I will be happy to do yours for you for a small fee but only will do at the most 20 grips. I will make a list of those interested. Anyway thanks for reading.

Troy,
I have fixed a badly filed grip that was on my '71, and I have sanded it, and tomorrow I will bead blast it. I will let you know when I will be sending them. Generally, I like doing the prep work myself to a project before painting, so I hope you will find some of it helpful. ::) I saw that the checkering was filed and messed up too, and the mis-matched web checkering, so all checkering has been removed. We will see how they look with the black & green. :)

I almost forgot to post pics. Like I stated in an earlier post, these were "Bubbaized". The previous owner had taken a rasp file and tried to take the thumb shelf off. :o These grips are now my range grips after TTH's Duracoat job, I keep the Dennis Grips for dressier occasions, like shooting bad guys. :P Kidding!
The checkering was messed up as well from the file so I sanded them smooth. Thanks Troy! Great job!
