In my 27 years in the NYC courts as supervising court officer I
only had to pull my weapon out once & I thank God it did not
require pulling that trigger ! Human life can not be replaced even
if the individual is acting less than human.

Some years ago, about 1999-2000. My wife and I was returning home, she was driving, using one of the main streets in our city. I heard these tires just burning. Looked toward the sound and saw this new Ford PU chasing this little eco car thru parking lots, over curbs, etc. The little guy was trying to get away. The speed limit was 40mph. When they went back onto the main street, going in our directions, I requested the wife to follow safely. The trucks speed was well over 70mph. The truck had dealer tags.
Wouldn't you know we got to a stop light and the truck is in the right hand lane, one spot up from me. I'm in the left lane. So I got pencil and paper out and was writing down the tag number and according what went down was going to be a witness. This was before Mo. had a CCW law. The driver of the truck was so mad he was spitting. Anyway he happened to look to his left and saw me writting down the tag. He got out of his truck and started for my vehicle. My wife grabbed our cell phone (then we only had one) and started calling for help. We're ina Olds 98. I started putting the window up. Cracked about 2in's at the top. And opened the center console. Stuck my hand inside. The truck driver saw this and stopped. He wanted to know what I was looking at. I told him a idiot driver. He tried to blame the other driver. Which I replied Because of one idiot driver didn't mean he had to drive that way. Told him just to get back into his vehicle before things got worse. Which he did. It was only a bluff on my part, but it worked. My wife was so shook up she never did get the numbers dialed. Called the dealership later to report what I saw someone doing with their vehicle. They could have cared less.
Too many people out there doing their thing and not controlling their tempers.

If you exit your vehicle n come 2 mine n I don't know ya I consider you 2 have instigated a confrontation. If I have a Louisville slugger in my hand it doesn't necessarily mean I'm about 2 whack ya. If I have it resting on my shoulder it'd be a fair bet my intentions were listing 2 swinging w/extreme prejudice. Showing a firearm isn't pointing 1 but it leaves ya wide open 4 the other party 2 accuse you of such. If any1 thinks they're gonna open a can of whupass on me coz of some perceived driving disrespect then they best know I plan on fighting w/my index finger as a last resort. Folks need 2 stop taking things so personal n learn 2 roll w/punches, figuratively speaking. Too many thin skinned folks w/chip on their shoulder. Ya piss me off driving I flip ya the bird n I'm done, outa my system. If you chase me down coz ya think I've soiled, slurred or slander your family, heritage or honor then you're a dumbass bent on destruction. This ain't high school. If I call ya a SOB I ain't sayin' squat about your Mother. Likewise if you call me a bastard I don't think 4 a moment you're implying that I don't know my Dad n even if ya was I could care less. "Sticks n stones may break my bones but words will never hurt me". People gettin' shot coz they "dissed" some1 by the why they looked @ them. Didn't give me my proper respect. Bullshit! Ain't givin' ya shit. Earn it n ya wouldn't worry about whether some1 "gave" ya respect or not. If I pissed any1 off feel free 2 flip me the bird! On the plus side I didn't call any1 a nappy headed ho! Rest assured if I see ya coming I'll something other than the 64 in my hand coz that's back-up....................
