Thanks Sam, coming from you that really means a lot, I didn't mean to hijack this thread, just want to show "dwd" the CZ52 with some custom wood grips and the one set of "Zee grips". I really do enjoy photography as a hobby, in the 60's I did do some professional work ie., weddings and some portrait work but that was part time stuff while I was in the service and stationed in FL down by your way, but today its just a hobby that I enjoy, and for the boards sometimes for me it easier to post a pic to explain what I am talking about.

Okay, I picked it up today. Turns out it was on consignment. I was hoping to do some trading but he doesn't do that on consignments. I got it for $170 otd. I don't know if that's a good deal but it's mine now.
Now I need some help finding info on it I read with interest the page on Makarav.com, very interesting. How far do I need to break it down to clean it? I figured out how to get the slide off and the barrel is in the slide. Do I need to break it down further?
The grips were easy to get off. Papabear, where did you get those wood grips? marshalgrips.com? What grips look the best? I bought walnut checkered grips from him for my PA-63 and wish I had gotten smooth grips, the checkered grips looked so good in the picture too.
Is there a forum for CZ-52 like there is for the p-64?

dwd,
In this day and age $170 OTD for a CZ52 is a really good price, so you did alright. As for the grips, a friend of mine made them for me. Dennis does make some really nice CZ52 IMO, and their are others as PshootR has posted.
