TRIGGER PULL - First Variation Round Hammer
Knew I'd read something about the trigger pull on the early models. Yes, the DA is almost acceptable except for that last 1/4 inch. I'm still installing the 18lbs. hammerspring. My pistol was made in 1969. I just received it from J&G yesterday. It was pretty clean to begin with, but will degreas...

DA trigger pull extremely difficult
Just changed out the recoil spring. Would have changed out the hammer spring except my good 1/16 punch is missing. My number one suspect is in Iraq right now. I won't bother him over this right now. I'll buy a set of gunsmith tool kit in the AM, kind'a wish he was here so I could yell at him.

DA trigger pull extremely difficult
Is the hammer round or triangular?? I just got mine today as well. Get it from J&G?? It is tough, no doubt. But not nearly as bad as I thought it would be. I'm changing the hammer spring and recoil spring. I'll set you know.

Ammo choices: Silver Bear 94 gr HP
I picked up a box of FIOCCHI 9x18 Police 100 gr. FMJ Truncated. The cases either seem smaller, or perhaps better manufacturing processes than the steel case Brown Bear. I know it's 6 grs heavier than is recommended. Any comments??

Another P-64 from J&G
Just got my baby and her big brother from J&G. Her born on date is 1969, of course she's a round hammer. I've got to clean her up, but shows only minor holster wear. I'll change the recoil and hammer springs. I'm surprized, her DA pull isn't that bad. It has quite a bit of creep, then hits a bri...

P-64 Safety Drum Issue
When I was in the Navy. We had parts for aircraft made all the time. Diagrams should also tell you what type of metal and how it was to be tempered. If you know anyone who can program a computer lathe ,or milling machine, might even be some gunsmith's that could do it. But the cost whew!!

reloading for home business
I'm considering stepping into reloading, but for my own use. The component's are out there. I see the biggest problem is primers as was mentioned. But they are out there resonably priced? Who knows. Even if they are high, it's still cheaper to reload. Besides if it came to it. If a friend or family ...

P-64 Safety Drum Issue
I know this is extreme. Have you considered purchasing a P-64 just for spare parts?? How about engineering drawings of the P-64? There's someone, somewhere that could make parts, if they had the drawings. The skills are there somewhere, just need the proper motivation.

22 lbs Recoil Spring
Stover, went to the Polish firearms page. It states that the 'Stock' as issued DA trigger pull measures between 25-27lbs, of course it wouldn't list anything about changing springs. All I could find so far.

22 lbs Recoil Spring
Hey Stover, did you grind the ends on the recoil springs?? I received my springs from Wolf today, but no pistol received yet. I haven't read what the trigger pull would be with 18lb spring. I sure it's here somewhere just a matter of finding it. This place is kind'a like being a hitchhiker, sooner o...

New (to me) P64
I got a lot of excuses from them. No, they didn't cop an attitude, it's just they seemed disconnected, with no sense of urgency like they've got you the nads. They said the order would be filled in a couple of days. We'll see. Have a Mosin m-38, was going to have a bent bolt made, with a ring solder...

New (to me) P64
Hey yourself. Welcome!! I'm new to, haven't received mine yet from J&G. had to call them twice, FFL record had expired. Had to have them fax the update, the update had been sitting in a basket there for a couple of days, then I to do all the calling to make sure the order was filled. I'm not too...
