Re: Assembly/Disassembly Sticky?
Doc I use mineral spirits for cosmoline, soaked it for a day. I trimmed a fine brush down to a quarter inch for scubbing small areas. But the alcohol works fine too. Welcome to the group,as you can see everyone has different ideas, and that's good. BTW if the 17# doesn't workout you can always sell ...

Re: Winchester Model 94 Butt Cover
A butt cover for an SKS might be cool. Maybe a leather version of the Soviet 'Dog Collar' sling would be good too. A chest mounted pistol holster. They used to have one in the CTD catalog. Now all they have is one for a Taser. Something you could put a ttc-33, HI-PWR, or 1911??

Re: .410 Shotgun Reloading?
Junius, Yes the Condor looks pretty good. I'm interested, but would like to ask someone who has one. Me, I like youth model 20 ga pumps. I now have two, a Mossberg, and a Remington 870. I bought the Mossberg this week end. I actually prefer it to the 870, both are quick handling though. Thinking of o...

Re: .410 Shotgun Reloading?
6x6 That's good shooting against doves. But, a .410 in a defense load doesn't pan out. I'd like to refer you to a web site called 'The Box of Truth' it's very informative, of course if you're like me and I suspect many of the others on this board, we'll have to check it out for ourselves. There is a...

Re: STEAMPUNK GRIPS
You could make a mold of a coin or what ever you would want to put in the grip. Fill it with epoxy, make as thin or thick as you like and spray paint. You could even inscribe it. "Yea though I shall walk through the valley of the shadow of death I shall fear no evil" or "Do you feel l...

Re: PM holster
Looks interesting. One thing is nagging me though. I wonder how hard it would be to shoot your self in the leg?? Guess you could do that with any weapon if you tried hard enough. My other question is how silent is it, are loud mechanical noises???

Matt West,
Most of the stores are sold out as well as are the internet sources. As long as the bullet causes a massive loss of hydraulic fluid and pressure, causing the pump to cavitate. It doesn't matter if it's JHP, or FMJ. As long as it 'Hole Punch's the perp.

df I had to do the two closings in one day thing, in 1990. Forty five minutes apart and across town from each other. What a pain in the neck. I think might have done it for the same reason too, needed another bed room after my daughter was born. She turned out to be one expensive kid, and that was b...
