I have found mine to be surprisingly accurate. It whoops the crap out of my ruger p94 as far as accuracy goes. I like the fixed barrel, and the consistency of where the bullet goes is very nice. I can shoot 200 rounds through my p64 no problem, just takes a bit to get used to the recoil if your used...

I did this same thing the night I got my p64. I told myself I would never take the safety apart again. I do remember the spring and detent were seperate. Took me like 2 hours to put back together lol. I might take it apart and try again sometime.
