wolf ammo?
The biggest issue with Wolf ammo seems to be that it ruins the firing pin. That is something we cannot afford to deal with on our guns as there are no parts available.

My new P64
Thanks for the kind words. I truly love my commie-ladies and am now on the lookout for an R61. To me the only true advantage the PA-63/R61 has over the P64 is the firing pin safety. I'd like to add one to the mix. Jbabbler, It is always nice when you get a pristine P-64. ;) So what do you use to bre...

My new P64
Since the P64's seem to be starting to dry up a bit I decided to get another on before that gets too difficult. I ordered one from Jim at Ammowholesale. She arrived on Saturday and was in pristine condition. She's a 1977 build with a triangle hammer. The feed ramp shows no signs of a bullet ever pas...

Get'em while they're hot..
Mine came in on Saturday and I couldn't be happier. The gun is in New/never issued condition. She cleaned up nicely and I installed the 18lb spring right off the bat. I am extremely pleased with this purchase. Thanks for the heads up!

My P64 is for carry and my grips are utilitarian at best but make all the difference in the world... http://i212.photobucket.com/albums/cc81/jbabbler/pistols/100_3547.jpg http://i212.photobucket.com/albums/cc81/jbabbler/pistols/p64-s9-side-1.jpg http://i212.photobucket.com/albums/cc81/jbabbler/pisto...

Yrs of manufacture???????
I would pick the one that appears to be in the best shape regardless of year. I personally prefer the rounded hammer as it's less likely to get snagged on anything in a draw. My 71 is a great shooter but the bluing was really worn. My new '77 is in much better condition and may even be "unissue...

The importance of a proper grip.
I just cut a small piece of mountain bike innertube and put it on inside-out. It doesn't look like much but it makes for a comfortable grip.

I never found mine to be anything less than pleasant to shoot.
This ghetto-grip made all the difference in the world to mine though.

Safety Operation Question
The safety lever / decocker lever are indeed one in the same. Once you get the gun though, you'll see that the need for a safety in DA mode is well.... pointless.

I ordered one from the same guy. Mine is sitting at the Post Office to be delivered tomorrow. I'll let you know how it looks. From talking to the guy these were handpicked and come with 2 mags. They are the triangle hammer without thumbrest.

Why The Different Hammers?
My 1971 model is rounded while my 1977 is a triangle. i prefer the rounded trigger as it has proven to be snag free.

The importance of a proper grip.
There is definitely a trade-off with a smaller gun. I love the way my Glock 23 shoots but I can't conceal it like I can my P64. With the P64 I get a full-featured gun with hammer, decocker, safety and a steel frame all in a small, concealable package. The trade off is that it kicks like a bull and I...

Latest batch from J&G
I just cancelled my order with J&G and bought one from this guy http://www.armslist.com/posts/18486/pennsylvania-handguns-for-sale-p64-polish-9x18-pistols I spoke with him on the phone and he gave me the details on his. They are all in "unissued" condition and come with a 2nd magazine.
