Re: New member and new P-64 owner from Utah.
Welcome to the boards and P-64 ownership! I am one whose pistol suffered ill effects from using a lighter hammer spring. The Wolff "reduced power variety pack" includes an 18#, 19#, and 20# spring. I first installed the lightest spring, and found a marked improvement in trigger pull - howe...

Re: Greetings from the Dark Side.
Woot! Welcome to the wonderful world of tiny Com-bloc pistols. The P-64 is a wonderfully simple, reliable weapon and you're wise to have gotten your hands on a pair of them now.
I know they all look the same, but... pics?

One more vote for J&G. I don't think anyone here has had a bad experience with their J&G P-64. I've had mine for four months and about 200 rounds, and it's a great little gun. Very accurate, quite reliable so far, and simple to maintain. Be aware, if you do get one through J&G you will n...

Safety mod for cocked & locked?
Hey guys. I've been wondering these days about the safeties on our beloved little pistols. The safety drum has two ovoid depressions for the detent plunger to sit in. I seem to recall that the depressions were in fact spaced widely enough that a third depression could be put between them, closer to ...

P64 safety fix question
Welcome. I definitely recommend a good thorough cleaning before shooting. If your gun came looking anything like mine did, you'll be surprised just how much garbage is in there. I removed the grips and magazine base, then soaked the rest in Diesel fuel overnight. The next evening I blew it off with ...

Yes, our land is actually about 1/4mi away from Truman Lake. It's in an area called Bent Tree Harbor, to the southeast of Warsaw. I'm no hunter and probably won't ever be, but I'd sure like to fish out there. Can't wait to make the drive and see what's in store

P64 spring choice
I have not yet replaced the recoil spring, but I did purchase the three-spring pack from Wolff. I installed the 18# mainspring and found it to greatly improve trigger pull, but I did have the magazine drop a few times of its own will. I installed the 19# spring in its place and went through eight fu...

New member, best place to buy a P-64??
One more in favor of J&G. I went and bought from them in person, and the salesman(John) brought four for me to choose from. I am very satisfied with this pistol. I feel that I got twice the gun I paid for

Thanks :) We(just my wife and I for now) have bought some land west of Warsaw just to go camping on, maybe for an investment if the market finds its way back right-side-up. We haven't been able to get out there yet to see it, though. Having spent all of my adult life here in Phoenix(and having seen ...

Congrats, Olympus. I too am very pleased with my J&G P-64.
Also just noticed you're in MO... how's things this time of year? My wife and I plan on moving out there sometime in the next few years

Magazine releases after firing all rounds?

Magazine releases after firing all rounds?
Hi guys: I've posted here a few times but only recently bought my P-64. It is a 1976, triangular hammer, bought from J&G. I completely stripped, cleaned, and lubricated it before firing it. I have replaced the factory mainspring with a Wolff 18# spring(but I did buy the three-pack, so I have two...

J&G Import Markings
Each of the four pistols that I chose from at J&G were of 1976 build, and each had the markings as you describe, rather than the "TN Guns" stamp you see elsewhere. Overall I would say that the condition of the pistols they have in stock is "very good". Only one of the four ha...

J&G selection
Congratulations indeed. Marriage is pretty cool :) We are coming up on four years this Thursday. I bought my P-64 from J&G this past Saturday and couldn't be more pleased. Finish is in great shape, and moving parts appear to have VERY little wear. John at J&G talked to me for a long while an...
