Re: 9 x 18 Makarov ammo for sale

I just moved so I'll have to look through what I actually have. Regardless, they will be cheaper than on-line prices. And not only am I
limited to selling 500 rounds per month, as far as I know I also can't sell to California residents

9 x 18 Makarov ammo for sale

Is this a good place to sell Makarov ammo? I have several thousand rounds available (various Russian makes) but can only sell 500 rounds per month because of California regulations.

I use them on all my calibers.
I've never actually used snap caps, but it seems like a good idea. I assume they're reusable?

Re: From Black to Brown

There is a seller on gunbroker out of Poland who has mags and parts. Laukart. You can email him, I've purchased magazines and safety parts (just in case) from him and the prices and shipping were reasonable. Yes, Robert (Laukart) is one of the good guys. I've bought magazines and a holster from him...

Thanks. I was concerned about dry firing, but with the disconnector engaged, it's obviously not.

Can these safely be dry fired?

Yes, it's in 'safe' when I do this. I've seen youtube videos with the safety on 'fire' and the hammer then stays cocked.

Question about reassembly...

It's been a while since I've used my P-64. Could someone remind me...when reassembling the pistol after cleaning, should the hammer drop when the slide goes back on?

Re: Replacing the grips after field stripping...

I've taken the grips off perhaps 3 times ever; there's never anything dirty back there. The parts of this gun that were meant to be field stripped don't require tools. Yes, but the tool that comes with the P-64 has a screwdriver bit at one end...presumably for the screw that holds the grips. My mot...

CCW? I wish. This is California here!

Re: Does anyone find that wearing gloves helps with web bite

I do not think the Op was referring to slide bite. I think he was referring to his hand getting soar especially in the web area simply for the heavy recoil on small grips. Yes gloves will help this. Also some people get rubber slip on grips, these help too, and and made by multiple brands. Also cha...

Re: Official Polish Military P-64 Field Manual rev. 1985

As a native Polish speaker, I can tell you that Google Translator does an absolutely HORRIBLE job with Polish in general. Perhaps it does better with technical language. One of the big problems it struggles with is verb conjugations, which in turn completely change the meaning of the sentences. I w...

Does anyone find that wearing gloves helps with web bite?

Mine has the original spring(s) and corresponding hefty recoil. So much so that after 3 or 4 magazines at the range I switch to another pistol. I'm thinking that wearing light gloves may help with the web bite caused by the recoil. Has anyone tried this?

I take them off during ever field stripping, more out of habit than any real need.

Re: Replacing the grips after field stripping...

Yeah, what Gary said :D . I find both my original as well as my custom grips somewhat of a bear to get back on. I usually just mess with it until it snaps in. I find that getting both grips on correctly prior to sticking the screw in it helps. I've heard of people sanding down the edges on the insi...
