After I put a slip grip on I found my hand will pull the magazine out ( pinky pressure I suppose) on the last round eject. ie. the magazine will drop free automatically based on how I grip I can make it happen with any magazine any time.

My hands are to large to fit the grips so I keep my pinky under the mag. This is a very comfortable grip for me and I have good control when I fire one handed. Never had a mag drop free unless I released it.

yep, the pinky under stops it from happening.

I've never had a mag pop out, and my pinky is on the extension. Sounds to me like something is wrong, here.

+1... I have big hands, and have never experienced this...

well it didn't happen until I put the slipon grip with places my pinky firmly pressing down on the extention. it only happens when the slide tries to lock back on the follower.

when I don't grip it with my pinkie on the extention it doesn't happen so who knows.. popped the slide off and everything looks normal.. nothing bent or galling anywhere.

shrug. ;D

could the new 16 pound main spring I put in as well be contributing to this?

It's more of a tactical abnomality than problem in my book.

I have the 16lb spring installed and have not had this problem. I have only put about 50 or so rounds through it sofar.
