I don't know if anyone has delt with a company called Ammunition To Go, but I ordered some Silver Bear from them. I gotta say shipment was prompt and the price was, imo reasionable. ($7.95 for a box of 50) I have never used this ammo but thought I would give it a try. Ammo here is around $18.00 per box. Has anyone used this ammo before?

They charge $7.76 for the 2 boxes that I got. Shipped from brenham tx. to columbus, ms. I don't know if it is flat rate or what. It's still cheaper than what I can buy ammo around here. Not use to a one shop town. Came to Ms. for family reasons. Oregon is home 4 or 5 gun shops there. Guns and ammo cost less because of competition.

I don't have any trouble with either brown bear or silver bear. I like silver bear a bit better, though. It is a little 'crude' in terms of it's finishing, but it feeds perfectly well in my P-64's and is accurate. I've also used Sellier and Bellot and Fiochi with no problems. I've had not problems with Wolf in 9mm Mak, but I have had trouble with that ammo in .40 so I tend to shy away from it, even when it is on sale.
I have used Ammo to go and like it.
I have used Aim Surplus and that's been just fine, and so has Sportsman's guide--although I haven't seen a really good deal on 9mm Mak at the sportsman's guide in some time.
I like buying ammo on line, but you have to get some degree of quantity or the shipping charges don't make it cost effective.

I was planning on finding out if I liked this ammo or not. If it shoots good and I like it I do plan on buying a larger amount. You are right buying small amounts is a great savings so bulk is the way to go. Thanks for all the info. I'll let ya know how it works on my 64's, OK?

I've been shooting some silver bear 94 grain, I've had no functionality problems with it, but have noticed that the shells sometimes get dents in the sides from the tapered top part of the magazine (they are small and dont seem to have any undesireable effect on performance) perhaps the shells on silver bear are made out of a more plyable metal.

I just received my first order of Silver Bear 94gr. I ordered from Ammo to Go, 4 boxes, and it was something like $43 with shipping.
I have yet to actually fire any of it but hope to in the near future. I'm glad to hear a good review on it feeding in the P-64.
Ammo To Go is a winner in my book. Very reasonable and I received my order within four days of ordering. I'm not sure how they could have done a better job....+1

95 Gr. Hollow points.
After firing an entire box.....I am happy to report zero problems. Every round fed smooth and fired on target. I was very pleased with the result of the SilverBear HP ammo. It fed flawlessly and accuracy was better than with the Fiocchi and about equal to the American Arms FMJ stuff......but with a better slug.
All rounds fired from a 71' p-64.
I'll be placing more orders to Ammo to go...

Aim surplus has silver bear at 7.50 a box or 145.00 per 1000. Great ammo. I've shot tons in a F/A mac380 w/out a hitch. Works great in my P-64s.
