Intrusive Questions

I registered and there were complex and intrusive questions just to get on this board. What gives?

I don't run the site, but I know they've had problems with spammers in the past. My bet is to cut out that crap, and perhaps keep lib trolls from trying to ruin the site.

Downtrodden welcome to the site. Sorry for the hoops but a.couple of months ago we had a couple 3 REAL serious spammers that were a royal pain for admin to remove so I would agree with snailman about that being the reason. Glad you stuck with it and got on board. Hope you enjoy your time here.
