Just got it in today, from J&G. I'm never not happy paying the extra for Hand Select, I tell you what.









Notice here, that whomever this was issued to, he cut a notch down the rear sight and partway down the strap. I guess for quick alignment?



But yeah, there you are. My own little piece of the last years of the Cold War. And now I'm off to look up ways of ruining it with custom grips and finishes.

That decocker bugs me. The hammer falls well before I've pushed the lever all the way up. Anyone ever had an issue with it going off while fondling their decock?

I just got one last week from J&G. It is in excellent condition. I did the hand pick and extra magazine.
The DA trigger is like night and day compared to my P64.

I noted these P-83's at J&G Sales, but did not see where "hand select" is an option when ordering. How do you choose "hand select'"?

They may have sold out of the Hand Select guns. They separate them from the rest of the bunch as soon as they get a shipment in, not when someone orders with Hand Select marked. If you don't see HS on that gun's page, they're out of the higher grade.
