Ancestry.com is running a special that I think ends on June 6th. Log on and you can search through their military records.

As most of you know, a fire in 1977 destroyed a lot of military records. I found my Grandfather's Draft Registration Certificate from 1918 - very cool!! I couldn't locate information on my father (28 years service; dischared in 1960) or on me (2 years, 7 months, 11 hours, 30 minutes service; discharged in 1970).

Sounds like you really enjoyed the service....... ;D......I more than understand!!! Discharged in 1969 and thanks for the FYI on the the Ancestry.com sit for military records, mine were lost also in that St. Louis fire.

found my grandfathers,and some other relatives in WW! and WW2 but that was it... no me or some other relatives...

Something funny for me... I wasn't even born when you guys were discharged.... I did serve 4 years USMC infantry from 90-94

Free is great, but why do you have to register for free, what do they get by you signing up for free????

I found no info for myself. Army Cavalry scout , 6th Cav, Ft. Hood, TX 10/82 to 10/84
