Ohaus powder measure rebuild ,
(IMHO) this was the best powder measure ever built ,





first then taken apart and taped up





then painted




then took a soda bottle and ground the treads of ,








then drilled two holes in the neck ,



do one at a time that way the screws will fit




the cut the top off



I painted a top off a relish jar for top







you can get drop tubs that will fit

next I show you how to adapt drop tubs so you won't lose them

drop tubs ,
these are lee die lock rings, these are perfect , for this





then you have you redding drop tubs





as you can see they fit , but they will loosen up after a while



take some paste wax , and whip it on the treads and just a little above




screw the lock nut just like this , so the treads are just covered,



take some sand paper , and roughen up the bottom and the outside of the drop tub



put drop tub on then mix some clear epoxy , and put in between the drop tub and the lock nut, let dry , then take nut off, let dry for 24 hours before use

update

if you don't like the bottle hopper, you can do this , order you a Lee hopper ,




and a copper coupler


take copper coupler, put it in the hopper hole, then mark



then cut





mark and drill holes , also you will have to chamfer the copper coupler , then cut the tabs off the lee hopper , then epoxy glue the copper coupler




then cut the plastic on the hopper






sand down and smooth plastic




finished


I still like the bottle better because of the funnel in it and it is cheaper to do

this was done with the lee hopper, I have done better with the bottle because of the funnel angel is steeper, but not to bad for 3031 powder ,
