What is #6, what's it do?

After cleaning and lubing, I noticed a screw loose on the right side of the frame partially covered by the grip. I tightened it up nice and snug but have no idea what it does.

I think it's #6 but my Polish is not so good.

Thanks!

Translates to something along the lines of:

"opening for retention screw"

EDIT: I revised the above, it has the word "safety" in there, but they meant more along the lines of a retention screw, not the gun's safety

I looked at the step-by-step assembly guide and noticed it said to tighten that screw (#6) but NOT OVERLY TIGHT. Take that for what it's worth ....
