On my trip last week to Florida, I pick up a 1942 Colt Commando [.38 special] at a pawn shop, now I have the Colt Commando to go along with my S&W Victory in my collection, I have been looking for the Colt for quite some time now, I love these old milsurp handguns and the rifles too. I know this post is a bit of a stretch from the P-64 but I just had to share this with y'all.

LOL if you hadn't posted that pic of the colt , i may have never seen what one looked like ! Thanks !
My Dad gave me a 1904 Iver Johnson revolver, and i really like it and i will ,someday, try to get another revolver. That colt is neat. Thanks again ! G

himmel,
I went to 100's of pawn shops in 4 states for over a year before I found it, the key for me was to never give up. I gave up buying a Beretta M9 for it, I couldn't afford both , had to make a decision, for me I'll take the oldies over the newbies every time, but that is just me, so many guns, so little money............. ::)

Your Commando looks great! I know that you are pleased to have added another nice revolver to your collection. I love the wheelguns too, especially the older Smiths & Colts.

Nick,
I'll let you know as soon as I get a chance to get her out to the range, the neighbors here even complain when I go in the back yard to pee, much less fire off a couple rounds. My back door neighbor is the mayor here, I graduated from high school with his daddy and I have to reminded him of that often, his dad was mayor too, and he still owes me favors, so I have a little pull here, plus his dogs always come over and p&p in my back yard, so I told him what was good for his dogs should be good for me also.......... ;D ;D

Papabear,
I love those old revolvers, especially colts. I like those Colt government model 380 autos too in stainless but the price is a bit steep for me right now. Do you know if the government model and the mustang are the same thing?
