I have two P64s both have safetys that are way tight. I took them out and worked on the follower. I thought a better profile against the detent might help. It didn't make any noticable difference.

I ended up removing a coil and a half on the spring. The safety is still stiff but I can flick it on, or more importantly OFF with effort.

The safety comes out exactly like a Walther PP or PPK.

If anyone attempts this, do so sparingly. We have seen P-64s in the past where the Safety would engage while firing due to the above modifications.
