ANOTHER LETTER FROM CONGRESS MAN

Dear Mr. Sutton:

Earlier today, a federal appeals court overturned the District of Columbia's long-standing ban on handguns, rejecting the argument that the Second Amendment's right to bear arms applied only to militias.

A lower-court judge in 2004 had told six residents they did not have a constitutional right to own handguns. The plaintiffs include residents of high-crime neighborhoods who wanted the guns for protection.

This is important news for everyone who supports the Second Amendment. I will continue to keep you informed of developments on this issue.

Sincerely,

Adam Putnam
Member of Congress

I heard RUSH talking about this today. This very good for all Americans. The founding fathers wanted it to be this way, it's OUR JOB TO KEEP IT!

Thanks Norm.

Doesn't San Francisco still bar handguns?

Nope ... SF's sham even flew in the face of a CA law that prohibits localities from enacting firearm laws ... it was thrown out by a lower court. There must be some loopholes for ammo rules, though, because I see sites that specifically exclude some ammo shipments to Sacramento and a couple of other localities.

Is this true?

Sorry to say, but my first reaction was to think that it was a scam or a joke. It has been some time since I have heard of a US court decision that seems to have any respect for the constitution.

If so, it is certainly encouraging.

There was also mention of it in an NRA-ILA notice I saw ... I think that it actually IS true ...
