I dropped my P-64 in the sand by accident while re holstering it after finishing off a hog on my hog hunt, I also didn't realize I accidentally kicked sugar sand on it, now the trigger doesn't reset some of the time.
I'm very upset about this and am kicking my self, what could be the problem?
I ordered a repair Manuel off eBay, how hard are these to tear apart, please help this is my CCW that I carry at work, I have a very dangerous job and need a small reliable gun, I have replaced it temporally with my S&W 442 as I need small weapon while at work.

That's not a sweet deal with your sugar sand. Check the trigger bar. Remove the grips and look at the bar on the right side there. It is a close fit between the frame and grip. I can see how sand would be a problem here. At the top of the right grip and forward is a good spot for any crap to get in.

Dalton, the disassembly and reassembly isn't really that hard. If you are even mildly mechanically inclined then you should be able to do this. Check out my frame disassembly/reassembly videos and you can see how to take it apart and get it back together. You may want to use a large plastic bag when it comes to removing any springs so they don't fling off into oblivion. If you have an air compressor, you could try blasting around the trigger bar mechanism and see if you can blow any of it out, but I think a complete disassembly would be best.
