barrel extractor cut damage

At some point in the past, someone asked what would cause damage in that cut. Its caused by letting the slide fall unemcumbered American style on an empty chamber. Poor design? Yeah. Solution don't let the slide fall hard on an empty chamber!

That sounds reasonable. Thanks. The P-64 extractor is HUGE for its caliber. Imagine what a .45 acp extractor would look like on the same scale!!!!
