Mine is a .380 made in '71.
Yours in .32?
I haven't shot mine enough tio get used to the slide release.

This is the only pistol I own that I have NEVER taken completely apart (no nerve).

Just got back from the range I brought all 3 of my pistols the p64 the russian mak and my new/old mauser hsc. I really feel the p64 was the most accurate maybe cuz I have owned it the longest and shot it the most?? I had zero issues with the p64 and the mak but the hsc jammed about 4-5 out of 50 rounds plus after the last shot it leaves the slide open like its supposed to do but when I pull the empty magizine the slide closes it that normal? I thought the only way to close the slide on a hsc is INSERT a empty or full magazine? I must keep in mind it is a 70 year old gun!

I have both the 7.65 x 17 (Wehrmacht issue around 1940) and the 9 x 17, one of the last made by Walther post war (around 1973 and not the Gamba version). All Mausers that I have (a 1910 and a 1914) lock open when the mag is empty and then the usual way to close the slide is to insert a loaded mag. Applies to the 6.35 x 17, the two 7.65 x17 and the 9 x 17. One other Mauser that I have is somewhat similar (the C96 from early 1900s), but since this uses a stripper clip to load into a fixed 10 round mag, it stays open and then when you close, the top round is stripped off as occurs in a regular semi-auto. No problem in taking the HScs apart, just make certain that they are unloaded as you have to cock the hammer to start. DaveN
