Removing Extractor for cleaning.

I bought a Russian Makarov a while ago.

This evening I decided to clean the Makarov's extractor. I used the Russian cleaning tool to do this. there is a little "hook" or stub on the end of the cleaning rod that you use to push the extractor plunger back into the slide.

This tool works great with the P-64 extractor too. The extractor on my P-64 was caked with soot, grease and dirt. I sure am glad that I took to cleaning it!!

If you ever decide to remove your extractor from your P-64 consider getting a Makarov cleaning rod. They work well.
