Limp Trigger

Hey Everyone. Just took my wife and her new Christmas present, a P64, to the range today. First shot touched the bottom of the bull. Second one was a half inch to the bottom. Big smile - big smile - BIG SMILE. Tried the third shot and no trigger ... was limp as a dish rag!!! Found out thru the forum that the trigger spring was the culprit. I took it apart and found the spring in about a dozen pieces. I guess the stress of being 40 + years old took its toll. I hope there is some one who can help us get it back on the range.
When i first purchased the pistol it was holster worn and purple. I reblued the slide and checked for cosmoline. This pistol has been used but not abused. No cosmo found anywhere and clean on the inside. I learned it is a '69 model with good grips and a pretty good DA and SA. Once this baby is repaired it will be mine (if she allows me) or my wifes CCW.
Many thanks for all the tips and tricks on this site. It makes for some great reading!!
