Quick question...about trigger bar

I don't have the ability to post pictures, so I try to explain this a clear as possible. On the left side of the gun (where the slide stop is). The trigger pin that holds the trigger in, has a flat spot like a foot on the end (probably so you can only push the pin out from the right side). Any way on mine the "foot" protrudes beyond the slide stop, so that it is on top of the slide stop, and the pin doesn't come all the way thru the hole on the other side. My question is the pin supposed to beflush with the frame and under the slide stop, or is this normal. I doesn't seem to be interfering with the function? But I'm just curious.
