Looks to be a stock photo, unrelated to the particular incident.

I agree that it's probably a "stock" photo. However it sure does look like a P-64.

The safety doesn't look like a P-64. May be a replacement, but I'd think it was a PPK, maybe, with that ledge-type safety....

Most all of the Walthers that I have saw photos of have a round hammer and a thumb type mag release on the side of the gun. The biggest differences I can see with this photo is a triangle shaped hammer and a heel mag release. Very interesting photo.

They just might, more than likely it's 9mm brass from some officer's gun. Hahaha.

I think it is a P-64. It has the same tapered bevel in the frame from just forward of the trigger pin to the front of the slide. It also has the same rounded cutaway in the bottom front of the slide. I don't have a Walther but all the images I can find of them lack the bevel, and the slides don't have the same round cutaway.

I agree with bil that the safety doesn't look quite right, but at that resolution it's hard to say if it's actually different or just a trick of the light.

It reminds me a great deal of a PPK Airgun that I have.
