PA63 firing pin safety plunger spring?

Mine broke. Anyone know where I can scavenge a replacement? I have been known to wind my own springs, but this spring is really small - approx 2mm outside diameter of the coil.

*Also, I'm on my third firing pin spring and trigger return spring. I suppose I should stop dry firing this gun!

I just want to know where you find the trigger return springs with such abundance...

I bought 3 from milsurp.com when they had them in stock for the AP-7 (I think that's the 32ACP version of the PA63).

I'm technically on spring #4, now, but I don't count the third one, because it broke while I was installing it!

I actually saved the last stock one as a reference, and I'm running a homemade one, ATM. Took quite a bit of tinkering, but I think I may have actually improved it. The stock trigger spring has a (seemingly) unnecessary 180 degree bend in it which makes it more susceptible to breakage. It also barely fits without scraping, and can easily get out of whack during installation. My spring has more clearance.

I'd take a picture, but no way I'm going to try to relearn how to remove/insert that bugger until it's time for trigger spring #4.

Take a look at a BIC lighter spring :)

I got one out of one of those small lighters that came in a 5 pack at China Mart. Not sure if they are "BIC Brand"....

If you can find the measurements (or still have the broken spring) you can send it to Wolff and they will match or at least come very close.

Also you may check with Newcomb Springs (Newcomb Firearm Components)

Oh, maybe it was a Mini Bic? Well I think it'll be cheap enough to buy one and see.

Thanks for all the suggestions. I don't carry this gun, so for now I don't have a huge problem with leaving the chamber empty. I'm not going to spend the money on a custom spring unless I make it myself. It'll be fixed cheap or not at all!

Yup...I think they call them mini's....other thing that I have seen used in the PA-63's and the P-64's is a Zippo lighter spring trimmed to length. The diameter is good just a little long.

Just give your gun a pack of Marlboro's and he will be ready to go.
