Confusion of the Origin of my first P64

Hello my name is Josh Hale and Im a SPC in the Oklahoma National Guard. I had some questions concerning my first P64.
I have done some research and I know it was made in 1966, imported in the 80's, and all that business.
My problem is that when I took it apart for cleaning and PMCS, I noticed a lot of letters of the Russian Alphabet. Why, since it came from Poland, is it marked with Russian Letter?
Also, whilst looking at the majority of your own P64's that you have posted pics of, some say Cal Makarov. Mine doesnt. Is there any way to find out who or what government agency used my personal P64?
Upload of pictures are to come. Ill post here so that you can tell what Im talking about
