$130 Titan Tiger .38 Special

I bought this today and had a no risk purchase. The seller said if it didn't shoot right, then I could bring it back. Although, I do not really like it to shoot right at 25 yards, I can't argue with its consistency (I was shooting for the center of the large circle on the left). 2.25" 6 shot group at 25 yards. I think I can do some tinkering with it and get to to do what I want. I was using Remington factory 130gr MC ammo. I did shoot some of my Berry plated reloads, but they didn't quite shoot as well. There was a tin can at about 32 yards and I was bouncing that thing shot after shot once I figured out my sight/target alignment. The gun has fixed sights.

That's one sweet shooting .38! You got a hell of a deal on that one! Way to go.

My guess is that factory 158 gr. lead RN or SWC will shoot better.
Might try some .38 full WC if you reload.

I'm going to try to acquire some wadcutters today. I have 50 .38 Special cases prepped in the other room. Just waiting for powder and bullets. I think this round I'm going to use Unique and give it a try instead of Power Pistol. I'm going to go pretty light with a speed around 850 fps. I hope that will yield greater accuracy.
During my shooting time with it, I noticed the front sight rail was loose and I could wiggle it with my fingers ever so slightly. After I got done shooting and brought it home (and took the picture above), I removed the sight rail, cleaned the barrel off well, and the bottom of the rail and fixed it back to the barrel with the screws and used Gun-Tite on them. It seems to have moved the front sight to the right a few thousandths of an inch. I am itching to take it back out to the range and see if it has moved the POI over some. If it is within 2" of bullseye @ 25 yards, I will be very happy with it.
Thanks fellers for the compliments.

Loaded up some 158 grain semi-wadcutters... at least that's what they look like to me. I loaded them with 4.3 grains of Unique so they should go a little over 800 fps. Hopefully they'll shoot pretty good, guess I won't know until I take it out again.
Sorry for the lousy picture. Battery in nice camera is dead, cell phone picture is all I got.

I have had the best results using 158gr SWC like that in my 357Mag reloads.
I use the Lasercast ones from Oregon Trail. Missouri bullets would be a good
choice too.

I do like MO Bullets, I shoot them from my .38 S&W Ctg. revolver (Model 11). However, I'd prefer not to pay $13 in shipping unless I'm going to buy a bunch of different ones to make it worth it and since I hardly use any, then it's not much worth it unfortunately. I have no idea who cast these other than "some guy". Hopefully they'll shoot well when I get a chance to blast 'em. What speed are you pushing them from your .357Mag?

I don't have a chrono, but I load them with 13.5gr of 2400. I would guess
somewhere in the 1100fps range. No leading what so ever in my Ruger
SS 4 5/8" Blackhawk and my 6" 686 Smith & Wesson. They get out there
pretty quick and are real pleasent to shoot. I like shooting them out to
150+ yards at 16oz plastic water bottles and watching them explode. Too much fun!
