Recently added to my collection a Llama mod. 1 .32acp. This one is built on the Browning 1911 SA blowback design and pretty much looks like a scaled down version of the 1911 except for the lack of a grip safety and is in EX condition considering it 60 plus years. This one is a Nazi World War II commercial contract Spanish Gabilondo Y "Llama" Model I imported to Nazi Germany. These pistols were made available in a very small quality for purchase by military personnel and by civil servants, especially Germans working in occupied territories manufactured by GABILONDO Y CIA, ELGOIBAR in Spain.

Also, it came with a correct era holster and cleaning rod and what appears to be the original box. The Llama model I has a 8 rd magazine, is all steel and weighs in at 21 oz empty, has a 3 11/16" bbl, is 4 3/8" tall, 6 1/4" long and 1" wide. I'm pretty sure it won't be shoot much but anything I own I do shoot, so it will go to the rang and a range report will follow and I'm sure more pic's too, I'm really proud of this little beauty.

Congrats on a very nice pick up. Always liked them myself. My dad has one made many years later in .380 and LOVES it.

Off to the range yesterday, you could cut the humidity with a knife, shoot awhile and wipe sweat awhile, but hey, I was at the range, nothing else counts. Got to shoot with the PPD, local Providence, Ky PD, they were were qualifying, they all were admiring the Llama, their comments indicated it would make a good back up. I stepped up to the line and this little Llama brought a big smile to my face, it performed like a champ. I had already loaded up a mag [6rds] and we got familiar with each other, and in a very shot time. I was using Winchester W/B 32 Auto 71gr FMJFP at 7yds w/ standing free two hand grip. Shot shot this 2 1/4" group, the LEO's were impressed.




Also took the Winchester 290 .22LR that I got from my neighbor that passed away and zeroed in the scope at 25 yds, had a 5 shot group that a nickel would cover using a rest for that distance, neat little 22, but its a keeper even if it didn't shoot because we were buds and he wanted me to have it.








Also took my Star PD, used some of my reloads, the best of the lot was the 200gr cast RNFP using 6.0 grs of Unique. This target was also at 7 yds standing free two hand. The PPD boys really like my Start PD, I let a couple of em shoot it, they liked the light weight and how it handled, not much bbl flip.

New set of walnut checkered grips I got at my last show in Tallahassee last trip down.






So despite the heat and humidity my main goal was to get a up close and personal relationship with my handsome little Llama 32, it was great experience, thanks abwehr, you help make this papabear very happy.
