I have heard a couple people say that at this site and recently ordered the the checkered wattle with red schel-lac finish. At some point I may order a black finish in walnut or something light like maple or even the light wattle. They all look great and it is hard to pick just one.

What did you buy?

Dennis is a good guy. His work is 1st rate. It's well worth waiting for, he has elaborate grips or simple one's. Everyone is different. I have oil rubbed checked walnut, just plain. Compare it to a Japanese garden, sometimes stark simplicity is the most beautiful. DFunks leather work is also excellent as well. Welcome both you guys.

How much thicker than stock are his grips?

They are somewhat thicker and this feels much better in the hand and tames the kick quite a bit

I am curious, in another Subject you were interested in stock grips. Did you decide you didn’t like the new grips?

I like the grips. My original grips were cracked when I bought the weapon...Nice to have the "stock" too
