Excellent. I look forward to some of the new information here that many of our members will utilize to save some money and have a ball reloading. Time to save up for a new reloader and dies. Sgt P.

I remember reading a posting on one of the Subjects and it said bullet weights over 95 should not be used in the P64. Does anyone know something about it? Also, has anyone been casting their own bullets and if so what mold are they using?

Is there a particular reloading manual that you feel is good for Makarov.

If you are at all interested in reloading MAK rounds you need to start by buying the LEE (I prefer them) Die set (http://www.leeprecision.com/cgi/catalog ... 2723=90176). You can buy the charge table from them for $1 but it comes with the set. It is a one page document with tested loads. The other good resource is the Modern Reloading 2nd ED by Richard Lee. Most people who reload will have this as a reference. It goes over a lot of things that you may not have thought of. (It pushes Lee products but I don't mind) I have this and it has lots of specs for many different rounds. I can't recommend this enough!

Also look round on the internet. There are several sites specializing in reloading which will give you some idea of the problems with certain bullet gns and how to cut cases down. http://www.reloadingroom.com/index_files/Makarov.htm offers some great info (he recommends using Starline Brass among other things and talks about different grain bullets and powders)

Remember that many sites won't even allow you to post reload data due to libility but there are plenty of loads to choose from. I did notice that lately you can't find much even at the bullet manufacturers web sites.
