I just ordered a beretta bobcat and a couple extra mags-- the really deep conceal part is hiding another firearm purchase from my fiance. LOL

I wonder if she will buy that I left two of my guns next to each other and they reproduced?

Anyways, any of you guys have or carry one of these? I know some carry the 950 do you guys reccomend any particular holster or form of carry for these? I am thinking about an ankle holster or any other deep conceal type things.

Any thoughts or advice feel free to share.

I have a inside the waist band and a ankle holster but 90 % of the time it just goes inside my pocket.

Do you guys loose carry in the pocket or do you use pocket holster and if so what?

I was looking at a back pocket holster as well anyone try one of those?

I carried my Beretta Model 20 .25acp pistol in an Uncle Mikes nylon pocket holster for years. Worked out well untill I traded it off for a Baby Browning .25acp pistol. Now that baby I could hide in the change pocket of my levis. Sold that one to a collector friend when the mouse guns lost their appeal and I went back to the Walther PPK/S .380.

No holster when in pocket not needed imo.. I wouldnt like to carry any gun in backpocket ,,no want to shoot my tail off

I have the Beretta 950BS, I simply carry it in my pocket, now I do have a leather holster for it that I can use for IWB carry, but generally speaking I just drop it in my pants pocket and let it ride there all day if necessary.

I have read also about some problems with the Tomcat, the main serious problem is cracked alloy frames.

Not to alarm you but I've heard that the alloy lower [frame] Tomcats that on some the frames are cracking, and that Beretta claims that their studies proved the Tomcats could crack only if hot ammo over 130 foot pounds is used. I also heard that Beretta is not repairing the Tomcats with cracked lowers but offering the INOX model with a steel lower rather than the alloy lower for replacement, but at a price of $150 - $200 more and they keep the alloy frame Tomcat version or you sign a release for the Tomcat you sent them for repair or replacement. Now to me that sends up a red flag especially for a defense gun, but I'm sure you will hear that their Tomcats are problem free and they wouldn't be without it. So who is right and who is wrong, I hope you find your Tomcat to be problem free

I'd think the Tomcats and the Bobcats are different. My friend has one of the Tomcats, sure enough, it's cracked. He's got an idea to fix it, just hasn't got the resources to do it yet. I'm sure kurremkarm's Bobcat is just fine. I did a search, found no results for the Bobcat's having any cracked frames, only the Tomcats.

I have had several of the Bobcats, and none of mine were reliable enough for me to carry, plus they had the Beretta tip-up barrel, a feature I do not want in a pistol I am using for protection. I have had a fired case stick in the chamber of 2 of my 4 Bobcats. There is NO WAY to remove it other than punching it out with a nail or truing to pry it out with a knife. Both of these are time consuming processes, and you can't call time out.
I'd use either the old single action Beretta .25 ACP, which is extremely reliable, or the Keltec p32 or .380.

I know many people carry the Beretta 22's, but I have not had any satisfaction with them - I put a lot of range time with these pistols, and would never carry one - My old Jennings J-22 was more reliable.

Your choice, of course.
FWIW, the smallest pistol I carry now is an old FEG .32, but I'm consiering another KelTec .32 as well.

I have the Bobcat. It is a nice cheap way of getting practice with a small gun. The little button on the mag that you push down while loading seems designed to heart the finger. I put on a glove to protect my finger if I am going to load a bunch of them.

The NRA site sells jeans and small leather holsters. I have the jeans (extra inside pockets) and holsters, one holster for the belt and one for the ankle. They are fine for the Bobcat. The 22 LR is a concern to me and I normally just use it for target. The slide pull is very hard. That pop up barrel is sort of a neat idea and I like it. Crimson offers laser grips for it and I put them on mine. They are a good investment. I think they may fit on the Tomcat too if you move up to it. The thing that keeps me from buying the Tomcat is the talk about cracked frames. My understanding is the stainless version does not have that problem, but the Crimson grips do not fit that model.

The Bobcat is a good little gun, but I would not carry it often if you have other options. I suggest buying real good ammo. Good luck, I think you will like the gun overall and may consider having twins.
