New -old P64

Today - 10-10-06 I picked up my second P64, this one was on
Gunbroker .com as new old stock & its a beauty - 1968 with two
magazines & booklet.
Now I have to change the springs in both guns to correct the
horrible heavy DA trigger pull.

First of all welcome aboard and secondly congrats on your second P-64. There are three versions of the P-64, if you will read through the threads you will find out about them, if you are like some of us, you will want all three versions of this wonderful and accurate little pistol.

Duggi, I have been here from the beginning, and have seen it all. 95% of the 16# have been perfectly successful, and 100% of the 17# and 18# have been perfect. Most 16# problems have been caused by ammo too heavy, like the 100 to 115 grain stuff.
The newer guys have strong opinions, but don't know this pistol. The 20 # spring just denies the perfection you can reach with the lighter springs.
Just buy the Wolff PPK spring pack, and take your choice. For about $12 you can choose the one that works best for you.

Have the Wolff spring pack before the second P64, now to try the 17 & 18 ones in these guns.

Yup, I gotta go with Stan on this one. The 16# and 17# springs make the P-64 almost a pleasant shooter.
