Hey guys, new to the boards, lot of valuable info here. I appreciate any help in advance. I recently obtained my 2nd pa-63 from a friend, purchased it for $150, I know thats a little high but I like these guns.
Anyways, my question is, the finish on the slide of the "new" gun seems to be dull and rough, where as my other one is nice and shiny. Did some of 63's come unpolished, or is this gun just showing its age?

some of them came with that type of finish, its almost looks like it was painted on , I think it was parkerized ,

Thanks Norm, the finish doesnt bother me a bit, does look a bit painted on, but it'll do.

Crazy question...
I'm curious if anyone has tried blueing, parkerizing or otherwise blackening the frames? Just not a big fan of 2-tones.

pa-63 finish question
layer
you can always have the slide hard chromed ,
of have the frame anodized , anodizing is the only thing can be done with a alloyed frame

WOW that's purdy! :-/
Re: pa-63 finish question
Like the above poster said, blueing and parkerizing won't take on aluminum. Get a can of Mother's mag polish and shine up your frame. Mine was a little cruddy when I first got it, but after polishing, it almost looks like stainless steel. I'm not really a fan of tutone guns, but for some reason I really like the looks of the PA-63.
