Anyone here do anything with black powder pistols? I have been thinking on getting one or 3, and was wondering if I could find a nice forum, kinda like this place, only for black powder guns.
Thanks!

Some of the reproductions from Italy are capable of accepting a center-fire metallic cartridge conversion cylinder so that you can shoot them as either a cartridge gun with mild loads or as a black powder muzzle-loader. I am assuming you're talking about revolvers, not single shot pistols.

I think I have narrowed it down to a .36 Remington New Army revolver. Don't really know why that particular one, just think it suits me and my ideas best right now. Who knows...may start a whole 'nother addiction to go with my .22 handguns and 9x18 pistols...lol

I have a 58 rem .36 that i got a kirst conversion cyl for in .38 spec. a lot of fun but the .38 spec is a hair smaller in diameter than the .36 and will key hole. you can fined a cowboy load that has a hollow heel and will bump up to the bbl size to help this prob.

Thanks for all the info and offers to help. Unfortunately, I have to put this on hold...my son gets braces this month, so there went all my fun money for awhile.
Thanks, y'all, and I will do this later, I hope.
