Hello all, I bet you can guess what I just bought! A new to me, used P-64 from J&G.

I do have a few questions though. J&G must be getting lower on stocks of these. One I bought was in great condition, and the other was in fair condition. So my question is, has anyone sent theirs out and had it re-finished? I have been thinking of sending one to CCR refinishing.

They are having a holiday sale for their Cerahide finish for $145. I have seen people on this board refinish their own, but to me, I'd rather have a pro do it. I called them and they said they have done them before, so I am assuming they know what they are doing when it comes to disassembly. Pros cons?

The next question, is there someone else I should consider?

I guess thats it for now.

I would keep the one in fair condition as a parts gun and might ask them for some of my money back-- u never know. I wouldn't throw 145 bucks back at it.

Buy a good quality cold bluing and do it you self, it will turn out great and you'll have some thing for show and tell.
