And not just any ordinary range trip, she actually even bought something, an EBR no less!! Yesterday we shopped around in the store for about an hour, checked out all the options and models. Once she figured out which one she really wanted we started the wheeling and dealing with the salesman. He was a pretty good guy, didn't talk down to her or anything like that. Then once a price was determined I found out they even gave a discount because of where I work, which cut the cost down considerably. He said he had one stock, but that he'd have to deliver it to the house. I thought that was kind of weird, but with such a good price I figured why not. So today we took delivery of our second EBR. The first was technically an EGR,(evil gray rifle, my Tantal)

the second one is all EBR all the way. Has all the cool, or should I say hot options, huge capacity, nice black finish, and I know how you guys are about pics, so go get your wife, or GF or whatever your significant other is to be called and have them take a look at this. Seriously, go find them before you get any further in this thread and sit them down and check out this awesome new piece!

Wait for it......................................................

Let me unveil to you the EVIL BLACK RANGE!!

After 24+ years our Evil White Magic Chef Range started to act up and well, I guess I should change the title of this thread to "my wife finally got me to go on a Range trip with her". Hope I didn't get any of you into any trouble for not joining your better halves out for a similar range trip, if I did OOOPPS!

manicmachanic, you had me right up to the end, LOL LOL LOL!

Before we were married my wife used to fly fish with me all the time.
Guess what?
Since the day of our marriage we haven't spent one day together fishing.

I honestly thought the two of you were spending an enjoyable day shooting together, I guess nothing ever changes?
G.R.

Just showed it to her, she got a kick out of it. I still haven't had her shoot anything yet. She just doesn't want to even touch one. Maybe with the kids shooting soon again and possibly some of the women at church going she may get curious enough to at least try out the Ruger 22/45. She has watched us shoot for 3-4 hours up north, taking pictures and everything, just no trigger time. I know, patience, I guess I'll just have to wait her out.

Patience indeed. The first time my sister-in-law held a rifle, was right after her wedding, when my brother was cleaning some things up from his room and handed her his old falling-block .22 with a simple "Here, hold this for a moment." Oh, the look of shock on her face at the time... ;D

I just got back from a trip to visit family in GA this past week, which also included... a trip to the range. She flinches badly with a Ruger SR9 (to the point where she can consistently get it to FTF), but she can hold her own with my CZ-82.

Never really forced the issue, but I would always make the offer every time she was in the area to visit the local gun range, with an offer to help her learn. A year or so ago, she took me up on the offer, and any time spent with her now almost always includes at least one trip to a range. Probably because I'm her only source to put her hands on a CZ-82... 8-)

My brother and sis-in-law have my grandma's .38 special snub (Charter Arms), but my sis-in-law really does NOT like it. I offered them a CZ-82 for Christmas ("A firearm in the house that both of you can use if you have to"), but they're still waffling about it.

Just a little more patience, and I figure I'll be arranging an FFL transfer in the near future. All from not pressing the issue, but making sure the offer was always stated as available so she could take it at her own pace...
