Hey everyone. I've been lurking on here wanting a P64 ever since my neghbor showed me his about a year ago, and I just my first one in form JG sales.
It's a 1969 round hammer, looks to have been used very lightly. It has flat panel grips on both sides, no thumb rest.

Welcome and CONGRATS!!! its a great little pistol, i like it better than PPKs

Mine was like new when I bought it, minor holster wear no internal wear that I could find. I changed the springs and did several days of cosmo chasing. It now has several hundred rounds through it and gets smoother with each range trip.
The trigger is as nice as my D.D.R. Makarov and I'm really beginning to enjoy the little beast.

I bought mine last week. Made in 1973. As new, except for a little holster wear. The DA trigger was soooo heavy, but I installed a 18# hammer spring. The trigger is much better. I took it to the range and fed it FMJ's and JHP's. No failures whatsoever. Kick is pretty good, but nothing compared to a 44 mag or a snubnose 5-shot 357. I love this thing.

It will be my primary CCW gun.

I finally got a chance to take it to the range today. Put 100 rounds through it, my hand was a bit sore by the time I was done. The web of my thumb was actually bleeding a little by the time I was done, I think it was from the edge of the grips. I really like the SA trigger pull on this gun. I took a pic too, sorry about the quality.

My first trip was bloody too -- Slide bite. Try a little lower grip.

Boy that brings back memories. I dont know about anyone else and I can only speak for myself. I sure do remember the first time out with my first P64. I think I was was saying to myself what the heck did I do buying this tortuous little beast.!st thing I did was go to ebay and look for rubber grips,then cut up a tire tube. oh yeah took a couple of asperins for my sore and achy hand.Thankfully I am not smart enuff to give up and went back to the range a few more times. Lo and behold the recoil seemed tamer. Now it doesnt even get a raise out of me. (recoil and felt recoil has never bothered me so once I knew what to expect it was tamed). This is one fine gun love all three of mine and it was a primary carry for years,and still is in winter time.

This may sound funny, but take some Advil BEFORE YOU GO. Then work with some physical therapy putty for your hand, especially the trigger finger. Try the red putty.

You guys should all send your P-64's to my girlfriend as she has no issues with them.

Hum, maybe you should post a picture of your girlfriend so we can see just how wimpy we are. For all we know, your girl could be 7' tall and weigh 20 stone.
Just a thought.

She's 5'4" at 125 lbs.
She has hands normal for her size and the P-64 fits her perfectly.
She really likes to shoot the P-64.
She has a ball with her AK too.

Now, I just don't believe with out pictures.

Actually jokes aside, I think the P64 is easier on small hands. For me the recoil is tolerable after changing the springs and a little breaking in time. Still get slide bite if I take too high of a grip. If I ever need it, a bloody hand will be the last of my worries, so not a big deal for a gun like this.

I think smaller hands may be an advantage. The P-64 is a perfect fit for her. A CZ-82 is too much of a handfull due to it's width.
The P-64 does have a 20 lb recoil spring and an 18 lb hammer spring. Double action is still a bit stiff for her but workable.
