Thanks Norm.

They are (the Cz's) nearly as popular as the P64... I hope he starts making them... I like the looks of his multicolor grips.

Charlie,

You may want to check out Designer Grips at http://www.designergrips.com/index.htm. They have a mold for the CZ 82 and have made a few nice examples. [The carbon fiber style is my favorite ! The camo looks nice as well. ] You can contact the head guy at paul@designergrips.com.

Let us know if you get a set !

Check out <www.Grips4u.com> A guy by the name of Pete Foldyna seems to be making grips for many models. I just ordered a pair for a newly acquired CZ 82. Hope this helps.

white wizard.
that's grips4u.NET not dot com...
dot com leads you to a search site... dangerous

Thanks though, I'm looking now!

Charlie

After looking, I find his CZ logo inaccurate, and I think I'd go with Marschall grips in wood.

I have to recommend against the marschal wood CZ82 grips...Not his fault, but the design requires the grip to so thin, they crack easily.

I'm thinking that a coat of T-88 structural epoxy on the inside of each grip might be the way to overcome the cracking. I tried this product on a different project repair that really helped strengthen a part that had previously cracked under pressure. For me, it's worth a try.

Though I never received an email response or a phone response to my inquiries, I did receive the grips for the CZ82 from Grips4u.net and they are very nice...oiled walnut...they look good and they smell good.

Got a decent reply from Michael when I inquired about stabilized hardwoods for pistol grips, well kinda decent as he replied that they cannot use them due to the machine work on each grip.

But he has started to thicken the grips a little where the problems are happening. This is a good thing. I am sure that this problem will eventually get solved. Also the reply by whitewizzard on using structual T-88 epoxy inside the grip panels would help strenthen the wood. :)
