Both my dad and step-dad were police officers in PL (not to mention other family members). Dad was issued your standard P-64. Step-dad was issued a P-64, a TT, and a RAK... he was in a slightly different vocation within the force. As I recall, my first experience with a P-64 was when I was about 8 or 9 when I shot a couple of rounds at an empty beer bottle in the middle of the woods. I missed. Anyway, still remember how my dad used clean his gun. He placed all the metal parts into a boiling pot of water filled with chunks of soap, and then he brushed the dirt off.

Here's what I have of his stuff... the nightstick was "confiscated" at the airport, rather unfortunately.

Pretty cool. Too bad about the nightstick though.
