You could try cleaning the bore with J&B Bore paste or just wet a normal 9mm bore brush or even an oversize .40 cal. brush and sprinkle Comet or something similar on the brush and then scrub the bore like H*ll. I have bought used guns with bores that looked like a sewer pipe and had them clean up surprisingly well. Pitted to be sure, but that doesn't always affect handguns too much at usual hand gun shooting ranges, say 10 yards or less.

The chrome bores in the P-64 should hold up pretty well.
I trust your judgement that the barrel is trashed.
The one option to explore is the dimensional similarity to the PA-63 barrel. The PA-63 is a bit longer but stainless (416) PA-63 barrels are available from
www.e-gunparts.com for $42.00.
I've never had the barrel removed from a P-64 or a PA-63 but the OD measures the same for both. Shortening the stainless barrel would be easy.
Maybe someone here can add to this.

Im sorry, kinda new to this whole thing but how can you replace the barrel, if the barrel and frame is one piece then how would you replace only the barrel?

they are not part of the frame, you need to tap pin out then you need a barrel press to take out and put back in

Go shoot it. See how it shoots before you pass judgment on it. You don't specify what is wrong with your barrel. I have a Colt 1908 .380 with a pitted barrel. You would never know it by the way it shoots. I have a replacement barrel for it but it shoots low, so I use the pitted original one.

Unless the barrel is bulged or cracked it should be safe to shoot.

The reason for the new barrel is that was bulged and had to be removed. Now I need a new barrel. Thanks for looking

wrlibby, last year one of the forum members parted out a P64, sorry I can't remember who it was but he may just have the barrel you are seeking.
G.R.
PS.
Just I remembered the members forum name, he goes by blinddog, hope this helps.
PPS.
If you have to try the PA-63 barrel, let us know how it goes.

I would love to know if this would work. If anyone tries it, please post your experience here.
